Never daunted by a steep learning curve, I am intellectually intrigued by technology, fazcinated with patterns and design, and intent on leaving things better than I found them. Whether in fiber arts, baking, or coding – I believe everything gets better if you document what works and calculate how to improve the next iteration.
I grew up a third-culture-kid. After graduating from the University of Texas, I stayed in Austin to be an administrative assistant by day - fiber artist and comic book geek by night. I was bitten by the coding bug while using HTML and CSS to create a website for my craft business. Dev Bootcamp helped me learn JavaScript, Ruby, and how to absorb a lot of information in a very short amount of time.
Most recently, I attended the Moms Can Code School to dust off my skills after taking some time to be at home. Never fully leaving the tech scene, I've supported Women Who Code Austin as an Event Lead for the past two years. I look forward to sharing my love of learning and patterns with future coworkers.
